This Country Offers Indians Free Flights, Will Cover Full Cost – Travel Twice for Free

Thailand has announced an unbelievable offer for international travelers, especially Indians. Under its new scheme “Buy International, Free Thailand Domestic Flights”, anyone purchasing an international flight ticket to Thailand will also get Thailand Free Domestic Flights.

Travelling to Thailand is everyone’s dream. Some plan budget-friendly tours, while others prefer luxury vacations. But now, from September 2025 onwards, Thailand will let you fly domestically for free. Imagine booking one ticket and getting two additional free flights inside Thailand – sounds like a dream come true!

How the Scheme Will Work

Thailand Free Domestic Flights
  • The Thai government will cover the full cost of domestic flights.
  • One-way ticket value: 1,750 Baht (₹4,000 approx.), round trip: 3,500 Baht (₹8,000 approx.).
  • Flights will operate to UNESCO World Heritage cities, popular tourist spots, and various provinces.
  • Scheme duration: August–December 2025, with flights redeemable between September–November.
  • Eligible for all international travelers including Indians.
  • Each traveler will receive 2 Thailand Free Domestic Flights (round trip) + 20kg baggage allowance.

Benefits of Thailand Free Domestic Flights Scheme

Thailand Free Domestic Flights
  • Expected to attract 2 lakh+ foreign tourists.
  • Managed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
  • Offered in partnership with 6 airlines: Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, Thai VietJet.
  • Government expects direct revenue of 8.81 billion Baht and overall economic growth up to 21.80 billion Baht.

Other Tourism Initiatives

Thailand also runs the “Half-Price Thailand Travel” scheme for domestic tourists, making travel more affordable.

  • In big cities, slots are already full.
  • In smaller towns, slots may be booked by September.
  • If successful, the second phase will include more cities.

Where Not to Travel in Monsoon

Thailand, being a coastal country, faces heavy rainfall during monsoons. Some regions become risky to travel:

  • Central region (Bangkok & nearby areas) – heavy rains.
  • Phuket & Krabi – though famous for beaches, better avoided during monsoon.
  • Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao – Gulf of Thailand islands, heavily affected by rains.

Best Places to Explore Right Now

  • Khao Sok National Park – lush valleys, caves, lakes, perfect for nature lovers.
  • Chiang Mai – forests, waterfalls, and 100+ Buddhist monasteries.
  • Chiang Rai – famous for its culture and temples, including the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten).

With Thailand Free Domestic Flights, one international ticket now gives you the freedom to explore multiple cities without extra cost. However, this scheme will first be presented before the Cabinet. After that, it can be implemented.
